The metal blade is dark gray and a hammer finish painted similar (in the photo it seems more like natural and varnished), besides, it looks as if additionally a clearcoat was applied. The "particularly strong" impression was sometimes described here I can not understand, the blade seems to me like a normal, mid-priced garden spade (my spade Fiskars is in any case a lot thicker the blade material). Whether it is more stable than other offered small Godfather I can not judge so. The thick paint possibly a bevelled edges or sharpened edge for hard floors would be desirable! We'll see how long does the paint.
The plastic handle makes a robust impression, nothing has game or is loose. The gray handle portion is softer and very handy, somehow anti-slip coated. Most blade, anti-photo, on my model additionally contain a semi-circular sticker applied. Although the fiber stem makes a strong impression, but is already the the titled optical defect. As mentioned in other reviews, the stem looks like he would have been in the grab bag. The sticker is partly as abraded and the stem itself has a couple of impurities on the transition to the blade mounting. I do not know where that's been, the packaging was perfect and the blade was very good individually wrapped and padded with paper in an oversized cardboard box. But no matter, sending back is not worth because I have ordered a tool and not a clock.
So I hope the tool proved itself in practice!
The size and the overall impression (except for the Magel hopefully a blip is), but is a recommendation worth it.
