Hunters Marly: And the works of Nicolas Coustou at the Louvre (Paperback)

Customer Review

The spectacular "Hunters" by Nicolas Coustou joined in 2013, after restoration, Marly in the Louvre courtyard. Hence this volume. But while the numbers of the Solo collection oscillate between 48 and 64 pages, rare "special edition" is assigned in 144. After "St. Frances of Rome" Poussin (2001) and "The Book of Saint-Aubin" (2001), it is the turn of "Seekers Marly" - supplemented by "the works of Nicolas Coustou at the Louvre." This is not strictly a solo, but a catalog of the 17 works of N. Coustou in the Louvre. We now know about all of this sculptor of great talent, famous in his time, brother of William Coustou, the author of the "Horses of Marly".
