If the Rondo deeds function, they work really well and the heating costs can also be reduced considerably. Unfortunately, Honeywell has significantly sloppy during processing, as already described in many other reviews. For over a year we have 3 Rondo State in use and of these 3 had been already 2 the often described problem: With the automatic opening and closing of the valve the metal lugs to hold the batteries appear to turn a little with, so that the batteries kurzteitig lose contact , Result: The Rondostat resets itself and to be re-set the time and date, the valve is completely open. The room is warm and chunky depending on when you notice it, the savings are there - very annoying!
What helped us, with a toothpick in one of the adjacent holes to lock the metal plate so that they do not rotate (see customer Photo by Tobias B.). For several months now already works perfectly with us. Why Honeywell as though not itself Depends is beyond me.
Conclusion: At full operability I had forgiven full 5 stars. The design is very attractive and the idea just fine. But such a thing can not happen. Other thermostats, such as a large discounter have these problems, which shows that there can be a better way. But then have the other weaknesses ...
