What should you do if three songs are really outstanding and the rest sounds like garage bands?
The promised by previous reviewer "Paranoid Android" sounds in my ears after Jugendhaus-junior competition-band - played well and well sung correctly, but ultimately it is trying the original 1: 1 copy and adds the rhythm a little Reggae -Style at, but this raises no real reggae feel, because it's just too much stick to the original version.
And so it goes almost all the songs. I lack as simply the reggae feel. Almost every song sounds like a Radiohead copy. I like gecoverte songs if they indeed reveal the original, but still manage to bring in their own interpretations. And if that still is good, then fine!
Among the songs that are really outstanding in my opinion:
- Exit Music (For A Film)
- Let Down
- (Maybe "Tourist")
With all falls on one thing: The songs (written by Radiohead) per se are just awesome, of course, a well-made cover is there not just bad. But in most of the songs on this album I reach rather equal to the original, because a pure cover (without spread eg Reggae right mood here) just never as good as the original.
A comparison to the conclusion: Whoever finds the most of the songs here well to listen also like Oli Ps "butterflies in the stomach" instead Grönemeyer's original ...
