I used Abby FineReader since version 5, and for me that Version 8 is simply the best of all.

Just the right mix of scope and usability. I have also tested the latest version and this gives me much poorer results in an overloaded software. I have the impression that one has since version 6 does not change the actual OCR engine much, but it has always stuck in a new function "Featuritis".

I am glad that I have a distended Version 8 license and will use unnecessarily no new version.
