I was not really ripped this radio play from the stool. It's about a writer named Stephen Burns, who lives in Vancouver and writes horror stories. He earns driving taxis still some money to - and will one day be drawn into a demonic serial killer. And then it gets confusing: First, it keeps the police for the murder of a young woman, then it is over the phone asked by a stranger to drive in a sleepy village in the Canadian hinterland. The people there behave strangely and die mysteriously Apparently a gas attack is responsible -. But it is up to the end not clear who has perpetrated this attack and why. Constantly there is talk of some "gray angels" - seemingly demons with fangs, the slaughter some villagers and eat some. Finally, Stephen Burns has an encounter with one of these "gray angel" - and leaves him apparently disappear telekinetically somewhere. He has this ability probably since childhood, because it is frequently alluded to his younger brother Daniel, he had a little boy with a magic show times disappear. His gift will obviously make a secret organization advantage, chasing demons in secret and would drag him to the conclusion on their side.
A secret organization that hunts demons, a gruff writer as protagonist, jazzy background music - all this is not new. That's not even what bothers me. I find this introductory episode simply not implemented particularly original. It is missing the bigger picture, exciting and explanatory dialogue or bays, puns. I had the impression that I as a listener only Brocken was thrown to information, in the hope that I will curiously for a sequel. But the episode left me rather confused back and slightly annoying. On the whole, it seemed more intended as skillfully. Therefore, I will listen to me probably no second episode.
