(+) Wireless function already installed. So you can convert Web videos on different channels (eg
Youtube) watch on TV, start browsing websites and access to network drives.
(+) Simple menu and easy and quick navigation.
(+) Relative many connectivity options: HDMI, YUV, RCA video, stereo audio (RCA), optical
Digital output, 2x USB, Ethernet.
(+) There is no fan, the machine is silent.
(+) Very good picture and sound quality (of course depending on the quality of the source file)
(-) Avi files with Divx codec will not play. (The WD TV Live plays these files easily from)
(-) The number of supported formats with files on network drives is very limited. It
only operate files in the following formats: MPEG-2, Xvid, MP3, LPCM, JPEG. In addition,
from network drives only videos are played back in standard definition and not in HD.
Conclusion
The Sony SMP N 200 Media Player is unfortunately only limited to recommend. The DLNA function is practically useless with such a small number of supported formats. And that is not even on USB media Divx video function is poor. On both counts, the WD TV Live is better. An advantage is the faster startup time, the slightly faster menu and the built-in Wi-Fi function.
