The radio has been carefully manufactured. It seems visually as well as haptically to quite a high standard. The device also has a comfortable weight.
The radio is set up via the function menu. The sound of the radio sets myself for such a small device not satisfied. I'm sure a little spoiled when it comes to music, but am aware that one can not expect above-average musical enjoyment at this size and the scheduled price and am therefore also with low expectations the matter addressed. Nevertheless, one can at a price of just under 100 Euros and not necessarily small sound box expect more. The radio was supposed to be used in an 8 m² kitchenette. Even after trying all EQ - the sound settings sounds dumpft / steamed / annoying. Once the messages are announced or the moderator announced the next song, this sounds as if the speaker of a closed plastic tonne announced his text. Even otherwise there are too few highs and mids. It seems to me, as if to let the sound richer by bass act, but even this seems more sober and absent. All in all acts of sound very badly calibrated. I am utterly disappointed. Of course this can also be due to the poor quality of 112 kbit radio stations. Unfortunately I could not make any option locate to improve things at the transmitter quality.
To this extent I have been rather disappointed, the radio had otherwise initially aroused a high good impression and also looked visually appealing.

From me 2/5 stars. Due to the negative points, I have sent the product back. For me personally is an alternative only DAB + in question. I have to be able to tell me in this regard for the Lenco DR-05 BT Retro DAB + Radio and hope soon about this device. Unfortunately you have to find a compromise in the price, as this is unfortunately a lot higher than in the Hama IR 250.
