I fully played out in 12h Secret Files: Tunguska.
The most important question: Hats made fun? Answer: Yes, certainly, but we must still live with some quirks.
The History:
The adventure has only just at the beginning of a great atmosphere, everything is mysterious and you really want to bring light into the darkness. The motivation of Soielers is very high. Later in the story, however, developed more into a 08/15 X-Files mystery Quark. Surprises can no longer offer the story then. Anyone familiar with the usual clichés suspect then already what. Especially the end of the game disappointed then something. You do not get the "delivered" what you'd expect, the reward for the player remains off.
The Characters:
We learn about the people just exactly what is necessary for the story. The makers have failed mitzugeben the figures more background. Therefore, a growing protagonists - though in principle quite sympathetic - not his heart. Had the German voice actors not outstanding, would get caught nothing of the figures.
The puzzles:
The puzzle design is basically quite succeeded. Too illogical slip there rarely, and logic puzzles that there is always take out of these games, the trip thankfully only rarely. VERY GOOD: you always get a feedback on the cursor, whether an action is possible or not. Many Adventures made 90% of all sentences of "I do not want" or "I do not" because you can try out everything with everything. Not so with Secret Files: Tunguska.
But what stands out very negatively: The quality of the puzzle taking the end of the game from rapide! Almost all illogical and induce drawn by the hair puzzle found at the end of the game. I was frankly finally get annoyed!
Design / Technology:
The backgrounds are really great successful and very varied. Bad: the game is limited to 1024x768. Anyone who owns a TFT or laptop with other resolution, which must be expected that the graph due to the scaling looks much worse. The character animations are some mass succeeded, but just act faces very stiff - because many more would have been possible. Also very inconspicuous is the soundscape. The music is not noticed in a positive or negative situation. As for the sound effects, there are simply too few. While there is an effort to create an atmospheric soundscape, but many actions are not accompanied by effects, which is a shame. If I, for example, a glowing keys stuck in an icy keyhole, a soft hiss were it really asking too much?
Summary:
Strengths:
+ Beautiful backgrounds
+ Varied Locations
+ Initially very motivational story
+ Professional Speaker
+ Sleek puzzle design
+ Short walking distances, faster screen change possible Double
+ Puzzles help that marks all objects in a scene
+ Very fast loading times
Weaknesses:
- The game is built in the end sharply!
- Only 1024x768 resolution - very bad for owners of TFT with 1280x1024 resolution.
- Unobtrusive music and effects
- Arg faded video sequences
Conclusion: Secret Files Tungska despite all weaknesses certainly one of the better Adventures in recent years. But to appoint the game the savior of the genre, but is then arg exaggerated. I enjoyed it all was fun in particular, for a second time I play it, but certainly not through.
