Well, musical Clockwork Angels is for those who have stopped in the 80s; Rush albums to buy, a good way to turn back to Rush. A concept album (sometimes textually get easily embarrassed, yet believable and content mostly good), which is an announcement in the era of appetizers culture where only the song counts and the plant character has disappeared. Therefore also confused about what Rush do here: The two pieces "Caravan" and "BU2B" were timely advance available as a digital download, what follows is a complete throwback to the '70s: a pound, a work, a concept album. Density guitars, analog effects, a Theramin Solo, Taurus pedals, acoustic guitars, riffende bass work, a very high singing Geddy Lee, the almost completely evrzichtet the annoying vocal Layers of last Abem to happiness and the best: Not only the format, also mskalisch drumming that I've ever heard of Neil Peart (really!). Ingenious melodies. Some pieces have fallen considerably too long, as (good) are endlessly repeated takes the song to end ideas and to start the next. This can, however, hear everything.
JUST: The album has been kaputtgmastert COMPLETELY! Sonically an absolute disgrace !! I'm still stunned, what has been done here !! "Vapor Trails" was bad victims "Loudness Wars", here was still a upped the ante. There are continuous overdrive distortion, the dynamic is completely destroyed, because everything is torn! What shoud that ???
My only explanation is that the mastering completely aimed at MP3 listeners who listen mostly to poor equipment (cheap in-ear headphones or cheap PC speakers). Since then mastered differently: more bass, more treble, more levels. The bill goes on to some extent also, for those who can nebenherdudeln the PC in the kitchen or who uses his iphone earphone in full metro. Heard about a normal condition, it sounds beautiful ... almost inaudible! I've never made it in "Vapor Trails", by listening fully the thing, too bad was the sound. here me passes by 2 pieces pleasure. What a pity !! The music deserves better!
