One notices Conrad Steinmann on the effort to reconstruct the indigenous Greek music. In my opinion, it is this largely well managed. The song that accompanies some pieces of music is anything but well done. The singer has a good voice, but gives the impression that they do not be able to use well; their involvement negates the musical harmonies. Fortunately, there are several pieces of music that are not accompanied by singing, because this sounds ridiculous at times. I am thinking in particular of the number. 9. Title Nos. 5 and 13 are the only pieces with vocals that are successful. That would really not have to be.
If I let this discord in the musical gear aside, I realize what was missed a great opportunity here. I would very much like to see another kind of project, but then without disturbing singing. The music is very nice and has a pretty soothing, elsewhere rather invigorating effect. The Title 1, 5, 6, 13, and 21 are ideally suited for the Hellenic gods cult, they are in my opinion too it. Finest pieces on the CD and stand out clearly from the crowd Despite my criticism, I would like to thank Conrad Steinmann and congratulate him for his inventiveness and his commitment. It was certainly not easy to make such a project off the ground. For this he deserves credit.
