I have the Melitta Optima Timer for 3 months and can share the positive characteristics of the other reviews entirely.
However, I have now dug up my instrument and realized (with horror) that this coffee machine is switched off (standby) draws 9 watts. That nothing works except for a small display indicating the time (in standby without backlight) I think that's way too much.
Short counted: 9 Watt, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from 0.25 ct / kWh -> about 19 in that the appliance displays me the time.
I wish I could always pull the plug, but with each new plug connectors you must first set the time before you can start the brewing process.
Well, the bottom line is a good coffee. The timer function (which just caused those standby consumption) is very nice, but I do not let my coffee all night in the filter, as it loses its aroma. I would buy me the next time a machine with a manual on-off switch.
