For sound quality I want to give them a rating. My hearing is not working particularly selective. I hear, for example, no difference whether a music file in ACC format which is played or uncompressed.
But I would like to highlight the following things, which dominates the instrument really well:
- Built-in Wi-Fi with Airplay. So far there has been no single interruption. Previously I had an Apple TV in use, there were already one or the other dropout.
- Automatic switching to standby mode if no audio signal arrives several minutes
- Waking from standby via WLAN
- Division into 2 speaker zones
- Remote control via iPad app and WiFi (the App works even under iOS 5.x, can therefore be used even with the first iPad). You can with this app not set up everything, but for the daily operation of all functions via the app are available. Also, the power-up from Standby mode can be done via the app. Note: The app can also be used on the iPhone. However, the view is not quite as clear.
The only drawback has been the support of Yamaha. Although I have received a reply within 24 hours. But containing only text modules prefabricated and could not contribute to solving the problem.
