"Aion" is another unique album of Dead Can Dance. With this CD, the duo ventured to wander in new ways. There is no equivalent of the previous projects to songs like "Wilderness" or "The Song of the Sibyl". I liked this new style less liked than the old one. Nevertheless, I must recognize that the album has something in itself, which can not be found in the other. By that I am referring to "The End of Words" and "Radharc". As much as the two differ from each other, "Aion" differs from its predecessors. Perhaps that accounts for the its appeal. "Radharc" is a very strange song, with whom I had not really expected. His music is reminiscent of the Orient, so he does not fit into the new concept. Also "Black Sun", the desire to change the duo realize there can be but somehow incorporate into the overall concept. The music "Aion" sounds much more optimistic, however it lacks the "certain something", the specific aura of Dead Can Dance.
