Customer Review

... And by far! The album is full of energy and creativity. Bim first hearing it blew me away really. The opener WALK THE PLANK shows who is at work here, and where we are headed: Alestorm are again and at full speed, melodic and playful as usual. It is striking, however, is fully gelichzeitig durgetreten the hardness pedal, without losing melody.
DRINK is a Klassiescher Stampfer á la Alestorm, fast, hard and with Mitgröl refrain. One of the best songs of Alestorm ever. Should Live get along very well.
Magnetic North, however, is again more melodic, backed by choral stanzas, vigorous folk-strikes, and, the most surprising: Shouting / Growling by Chris Bowes, new and quite knows how to please. The chorus you can not keep still and simply must sing / swaying ... possibly the best alstorm song ever. I like even better than Captain Morgan's revenge and that's difficult;)
1741 (THE BATTLE CARTA NEGRA) comes with a beautiful melody and a powerful chorus therefore, quite like, but stands out not really, but it does not know that the song is bad. The Shouting is annoying here, little. Reminds a little bit of Death Throws of The Terrorsquid.
MEAD FROM HELL is again an uptempo number with feel-good factor, like a mix of Keelhauled and Shipwrecked. Very strong song.
SURF QUID WARFARE is again a bit harder, Kalliber Black Sails at Midnight. Nevertheless, very melodic and hangs up.
QUEST FOR SHIPS again faster and more melodic, similar to Over The Seas, with choir in the chorus, perfect for live partying and singing along.
WOODEN LEG is an extremely fast song as migdet saw consisting refarasin only from a chorus of yells all the time "Wooden Leg". something very simple gestrikt and I do not like really good ....
HANGOVER is a cover of the song by Taio Cruz and one of the highlights of the album. The song is awesome interpreted and modified gelgendlich (I'm oa ship, or at the end of "Get Pissed ...") The chorus to a real skin, that sounds just awesome. If the Live Wirde played quakes garatiert the whole concert hall. One of the best covers I've ever heard. Alone the idea (a bunch of rum saufender Scots sing a song called ghangover) is totally crazy: D Chris buys his one "Hangover" from now ^^
SUNSET ON THE GOLDEN AGE is just under 11.5 minutes in length probably the longest song of the band. Starts in a hammer instrumental intro where Alestorm-guitarist Daniel Evans once again demonstrated presents what he can. The song is generally slower than average for the album and very designed for melody. Sounds in a moment still grim as Leviathan, then breaks into a happy chorus a la Caiptain Morgans Revenge order gefolght on a thunderous gittarren-solo. Abwechlungsreichtum pure. Alestorm throw here again everything the album makes a pot. Hammer: D

Generally speaking, the Sunset on The Golden Age all together what Alestorm ausmac hen and stand out from the Metal-uniformity: an explosive mix of melody and heaviness, with strong people-strikes (and, more recently, grunts / growls), Quick and Quiet numbers alternate, sing-along choruses for the upcoming tour are also available, and as always, the whole with a hefty pinch of craziness seasoned XD General Alestorm sound on this album more mature look very safe in what they do. Betrachet you this allles, we have definitely the strongest album of the Scots ahead. I am really speechless. A strong album so I did not expect. My highlight is definitely MAGNETIC NORTH, the song is just madness. From me a strong buy recommendation
