With their sixth studio album "One Man Army" ride the Finnish folk / Viking metallers again to correct the big guns. "Ensiferum" naturally draw back to tried and true song structures and melodies, but the songs seem more powerful and also the hardness has increased again. Melodic guitar riffs, fat bass attacks, driving drums and epic choirs distinguish the songs - heart what you want more! The sixth album of the Finns also shines through a high-quality production, the sound seems mature and skillfully arranged - because really all fits together. I am a friend of beautiful melodies and epic choral passages and on "One Man Army" I come in this respect fully at my expense. Anspieltipps I would now want to give any because the whole package is simply consistent and everything falls into place. "One Man Army" acts as a unified whole and enjoys a whole, the songs are all from the top shelf - great album!
My conclusion: If you like pagan / folk / viking metal is operated excellently with the latest output of the Finns. All this genre is characterized and include the boys should have packed around Markus Toivonen on this album and create a rich, monumental chunks! Weaknesses or stopgap I have now not found - Well done, Ensiferum!
