Raven Software has always been very linear shooter with a penchant for morbid. A positive exception to this were the Jedi Knight title. But what is delivered with Singularity exceeds the "brain off" threshold, which was already badly strained with Quake 4 and Wolfenstein, too. Singularity, not just in an alternate world story takes place (the great Russian empire until 2010 in several versions), asks my ability to suffer in terms of logic and reason too. The trailer and game snippets shown until now could hope and sometimes even amazed (purely visual). In the game, with max. Detail, but you can find then in a vermatscht-textured and greased acting (exaggerated shader effects), dark world again. Although the whole looks quite harmonious. But assail the latest as the obligatory Zombis again on a whim is then passed me final. From a good gameplay and even better story of Bioshock or Mass Effect 2 Singularity is miles away. I seriously wonder if Activision wants to earn money with this title or which employees give the GO for such blunt Baller title ?! I recommend rather the above-mentioned title or the already badly flat Modern Warfare 2 and hope that makes itself not paid such lack of imagination in the shooter genre.
