To this head along with the 55-he tripod from Manfrotto. The combination results in a very stable tripod which in most situations is quite enough. Wobbly it was with me so far only moon shots with my Nikon D90 and the 70-300 VR lens fully extended. Unfortunately, the lens does not have a tripod mount, so the Schwerpukt DSLR + lens is largely shifted forward.
One must expect that a "motion" with the camera (ie tracking a moving object) is hardly possible. The head is designed to finely adjust the position and to keep so, and that the head may well :-). Finding a eigestellten position is not necessary, simply release the corresponding rotary knob, and the position that way.
