Why do I need a balance:
To measure my weight!
Water content, fat, muscle mass, bone mass, ...
All the scales can measure today.
After trying out some scales and then looked at the tolerance values and everything was converted again, I came to the conclusion: in the allowed max. Tolerances and the conversion in% portions each optical estimate precisely.
Therefore, only interests me my weight.
What I Trainigszustand find myself, I recognize now myself and I've found that the balance can be with the% share any information to me.
Therefore, these scales which only the weight and nothing else measures.
However, the balance has an optical highlight, a retro stylish display:
Needle on well enlightened background (round scale) and a display.
The scale does not make sense and you can not read to your ex, you can not even accurately read your (values pointer + digital display do not coincide exactly) - but it looks good :-)
The scale of the digital display is relatively accurate, that was me wichig.
I have friends at TÜV and have checked my copy.
Deviation not 100% static weights: up to max. 200g.
This is very accurate for a bathroom scale in the private sector.
In normal use, so many factors are responsible for the exact weight, such as:
* Underground + precise, perfectly level
* Where you stand on the scales and how to spread the weight
* How much you move, because we are not static weights.
The balance has to decide and for all these factors eventually draw a means to specify a related post.
This makes the balance very well.
Due to the large round display, however, the dimensions of the scales are very large.
Not a good choice if you have limited space, especially since the large round display is not really needed.
However, it is extremely flat and can therefore be very well planted.
Conclusion:
Recommended,
as very good + precise technology with precise measuring results, very good readability, very flat construction and non-conventional design schmeicheldem.
not recommended,
since relatively large.
I can give no information about the battery life, since I only used a few weeks.
Power consumption is probably greater than in my old scales as much light, needle + display is used.
But I also do not need a battery that holds 5 years.
Supplement 30.09.2014:
Battery:
After 1 1/2 years, the enclosed batteries (3x AAA) were exhausted.
As a family of 4 we have made in the estimated time approximately 1,500 measurements. Thus, the capacity of the batteries exceeds my expectations.
In the meantime, we noticed that the scales for the first weighing very often indicated a wrong, too low.
That was always flattering but unhelpful.
We knew you can not calibrate in advance to face directly onto the scale and measure its weight. The balance calibrates itself, but certainly you get just the right result when they moved no more large since the last measurement.
The scale calibrates to the following 2 types of self:
1. Tap the scale to jump goes to "0.0" then.
After automatic shutdown, it is calibrated.
Takes a long time, because the balance is waiting only times and not a direct objective.
Display 2. Make a plan, value down.
The scale turns out much faster and is then calibrated.
Our conclusion: The scale now has a firm place and will no longer be postponed, with the recalibration is also little effort - you just have to know.
Now, after not quite 2 years, we are still very satisfied with the balance and can continue to issue a buy recommendation.
