Anyone who has read the book (old rule of thumb) should stay away from this film, because, as always, the plot of the movie is half as good as the book. However, if Anne Rice holds for a prescription from Uncle Ben's which I can recommend this film highly enough. The mood of the film is very dark and excitement is guaranteed until the end. Who is not a fan of vampire films still should not miss the opportunity to get a taste of Aaliyah (RIP) to consider acting talent. As Queen of the Damned she rocks quite formidable!
