So, I have the Rondomatik since about 20 years. He was of course not always in use. After the first continuous use at that time I put him quiet because the filling and cleaning me was too cumbersome. Then I used the tried and true steward who was said almost 20 years (broken only in time and thoroughly cleaned 3x) without problems in continuous operation. Then, unfortunately, he broke down and I have to back to the makeshift Rondomatik recourse (the steward in the old form, there is no longer; drawback, it was very loud). Advantage of Rondomatik: it is quiet, the dosage and reliability is OK as long as it is clean. The old problem I have: the filling is a gimmick, you have to be very careful not to be filled next. If flake food impossible with granules are better off. The machine runs only once reliable feeding and switches the light on and off as it should. But unfortunately only a "round" long or a maximum of 2 rounds. Then there is disconnect the appliance, remove the bowl and everything thoroughly (especially after a flake food filling). Now I try it with granulate that but not so much like my fish (Malawi cichlids). I can confirm that the flake food stuck after a short time, both in the bowl, as well as the next fallen. After that nothing goes with food for the fish. Therefore, regular cleaning is essential. In granules, it is better, but not really satisfying. I mourn my old steward after, pity that it no longer exists. Most alternatives are powered by battery, do not switch at the same time the light and the dosage seems to me questionable. So I will have to "play" for a while with the Rondomat. I would buy it in any case no longer.
