The special rate is linked, in my opinion, an offensive against: right now we begin to see a lot of Chromebooks, that is to say, in small portable Android cheap. Microsoft responds with products like the HP Stream.
I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of use of Windows 8.1 road. Regarding the shortcomings of the start menu (the word is weak), it is easy to install the free software "Classic Shell" and end up as Windows 7.
It is possible that the profile of Amazon product is outdated: indeed it was indicated in the title of the product "touch screen" but not in the details. On the model I bought the screen is not touch - and I do not need.
The screen has a satin appearance; not really anti-reflective but that does not mirror like many other laptops.
The laptop's overall appearance is that of a very well finished product without being a luxury equipment. The keyboard and touchpad are very pleasant.
The screen brightness is not extraordinary but it seems to me in the standard; and we must not forget that it is set (see the "Power Options" in the Windows Control Panel).
This PC given its size, is light.
In limitations: you can not change the battery without removing the PC. But on the other hand, I admit that I have never changed battery and bought extra battery for a laptop. Another limitation: disk space is a bit low given the delicacy of the current applications (for 500 MB you got nothing), and Windows 8 is the greedy - but I'll do it. I regret that there is a micro-SD port and SD port not tout court; I'm glad that there are three USB ports, one USB3.
