Super with SSD!

This laptop is great, powerful hardware for a reasonable price.
Only the built-in hard disk damages the overall picture a little bit, so I have them replaced by a Samsung 840 500GB EVO, now this notebook is virtually perfect for my taste.
The conversion of the hard drive is in this model a bit more complicated than other models but as long as you have a Torx T4 has at home, it is quite feasible.
However, you should be aware that you can not play without further a new operating system, you should have no Win 8 DVD at hand. The key is stored in the UEFI, which complicates the upgrade to eg Win 8 Pro, etc. and copied to Windows 7 so you may not UEFI for Verügung what the boot process slows unfortunately unnecessarily. I have the old hard drive cloned quite dull and then deleted all preloaded software, so I've also saved me the same annoying drivers search.
It has often complained of poor workmanship, which is why I have my copy directly viewed me exactly after arrival and could not detect any errors.
The touchpad is really good, you can work out surprisingly well and the keyboard is one of the best on which I have written so far, the pressure points are very pleasant.
The display also convinced it does not reflect and is bright enough to be able to also use the notebook outdoors can.
For hardware, you can not say much except that it is extremely fast. Office applications are open in less than one second, surfing is faster than ever and also games run smoothly (Battlefield 4, 1080p low to medium quality ones -> ~ 50fps)
The fan is almost inaudible in idle, under load you can hear it but there is not necessarily disturbing.
One shortcoming is the Throtteling operated very aggressive from Asus here. If the temperature rises above a certain level (I think ~ 80 degrees) then regulates the notebook the frequency of the processor to 800MHz back, this results when playing at Frame drops may be that very annoying. You can make do with the 6:00 freeware program ThottleStop. Download, install, remove the hook at BD PROCHOT and then click Apply -> Done.
The battery lasts in normal operation with me about 4 hours, I watch movies, he holds only about 3 hours.
The included subwoofer is really a nice thing, you can hear the difference immediately and I can only recommend the thing.
The only problem I had were the Bluetooth drivers that on Win 8.1, the Bluetooth connection by clipping off my mouse every few minutes for an update. Delete the old driver and Download & Install the Win 8.1 driver from Asus creates here but help.

- Bluetooth drivers do not mix with Win 8.1 and you have to update manually
- Very aggressive throtteling (Remedy by ThrottleStop 6:00)
- Original built-in hard disk too loud and too slow

All in all, a very successful notebook with small errors in detail but which you can fix relatively straightforward. After that you have a notebook that's extremely fast and very good price / performance ratio.
