I still wonder what secret talks Rhonda Byrne. There is nothing mysterious in this book as some would have us believe. It's just a popularizer book about positive thinking and the law of attraction. Act from me to denigrate positive thinking but this book only scratches the subject. To take a picture: When you read the time at your watch, you do not know how it actually works. If it fails, you do not know more hour. This book teaches you only read the time of the law of attraction. If your watch stops, you will have no way to fix this law and you will appear as a big hoax. There is a point that bothers me deeply in this book. Rhonda Byrne said she has sought all holders of this famous secret to participate in this work. It is amazing that there are only Americans. Yet she says that this secret existed from early antiquity but it seems that all other peoples are fairly disreputable to have forgotten. Yet we are told that almost all authors of great works of world knew the secret. There is a great inconsistency here, and I'm afraid, much dishonesty. Throughout the pages, throw us a few examples stories more or less mysterious, miraculous healings. We must remember that the placebo effect cures 30-40% of patients and that miracles are common in medicine without having to resort to the law of attraction. This law is not the only one to govern our universe, far from it. The most frequently discussed point is physical possession sprinkled with some good feelings. Can the happiness really come down to this? The spiritual and altruistic aspect is very little mention in favor of selfish thought. "The germ of defeat is in every selfish thought. "Charles F. Haanel wrote in" The Master's Key ", one of the founders of positive thinking books. In short, buy more books by Wallace D. Wattles or Charles F. Haanel. They are the source Rhonda Byrne's book and they are infinitely more profound. They refer to the work of great philosophers (Descartes, Spinoza, Leibnitz, Schopenhauer, Hegel, Emerson) or ancestral spiritual and religious thought more worthy of interest than those of the book "The Secret".
