Groove, melody, jazz and gaming skills were and are the keywords for this band. The first album from 1991, however, in my opinion, the best album. The following albums could not always meet all the high expectations. Although the world-famous protagonist practically permanently bring in other formations and in the studio excellence and the best modern jazz include musicians of the world, they run in almost any of their albums danger of slipping into the arbitrariness which so often described "elevator music". A fortiori can happen quickly when you work primarily instrumental. This latest album is, like all of its disks, practically perfect in sound and production. But the recognition of the tracks of their last two CDs is zero. Whether also has to do with the fact that the really ingenious Chuck Loeb pushes the pieces in the arbitrariness? Even if I, as a vinyl fan (unfortunately bring Fourplay already long no black discs out more) am particularly skeptical mp3 opposite, I do it in cases like these so: I only buy the best pieces as files and imagine as a separate BEST OF CD - or double CD - together. This costs a few euros, but is cheaper than all the CDs to buy with their hangers through. So actually saves money. For this purpose it is the original, first CD in 1991 and you're the "Fourplay king" and each event can be perfectly accentuated. And who loves this music loud, then comes also at his own cost, because that here is a supergroup at work, is then very quickly realized. By the way: Live they are always a maximum enjoyment, so do not miss, should find an opportunity for one or the other is there.
