Libby Day was seven years old when her mother and sisters were massacred on the family farm. The little girl who escaped the carnage, means his brother Ben as the murderer. A testimony oriented as the years go wobble.
25 years later, while Ben Day is still in prison, Libby -assistée by enthusiasts affaire- association tries to pick up the pieces and is conducting a police investigation.
Attracted by the enthusiasm generated by this novel, I wanted to try their luck. I come away quite disappointed. A good thriller but one that drags on and wallows in misery. Financial and intellectual misery that lead to the unthinkable.
It's dark, creepy and pathetic but it lacks the "flame" of the great police work.
The final remains interesting.
