On the one hand there is "Britney Jean" before half of quieter songs, which is not the case on the previous album "Femme Fatale". While I listen to "Femme Fatale" as a pure dance album very much like to, but I'm missing something there more Britney flair, as in the previous albums. She has definitely very much moved towards the Euro-Dance. In "Britney Jean" we now hear on the one hand the current Britney with the typical Will I Am beats, but on the other hand an almost familiar Britney, as she was known before "Blackout". As a fan, I can only say that you will thank for that sound most fans. Finally, it is very long ago that Britney has delivered a really good ballad or mid-tempo number.
The strengths of the album are really the one in the song and the other in the lyrics. In Autotune was dispensed with almost all tracks, so good and especially genuine has Britney's voice sounded not to the past albums. Together with the very personal lyrics you realize Britney's vulnerability and can very well empathize with them as a person. It's amazing that you just experienced this closeness with an album of Britney Spears, which actually is well known for their dance hit. On this album the loud dance numbers, however, stand up to 'Til It's Gone "is not really apparent. Since "Femme Fatale" has already had considerably more firecrackers.
All the more convincing some of the quieter pieces, where one is almost tempted to make a comparison with Katy Perry, who is well known for great anthems. On the other hand, a comparison would be unfair, because Katy has its own signature and thus also Britney. Nevertheless, one is very positive of the strongest tracks on the album "Passenger", "Hold on tight," and "Now that I found you" surprised. While "Prism" almost too "smooth-produced" sound, brings "Britney Jean" with Brintey's voice not only more sense, but also in production with that special something that makes the songs more interesting.
As a conclusion we can say surprised that Britney has now not only proven that it is good for the best dance Kracher, but also the pop album has delivered the most personal and soulful tracks this year. Since it would be virtually on the next album of her!
