Switching from DM8000, Sky - ORF - HD +

Was initially disappointed because the switching times were worse than in the Dreambox and there were dropouts in picture and sound again.
Did then found out that it was the scam and am changed on OSCam (also because of the Sky-pairing problem) - since then all is well (switching times for encrypted HD channels 1 sec.).

That the VU + is faster than the Dreambox, you realize in the GUI only in direct comparison (VU + feels a little bit faster on). Really faster the VU + when playing movies from the network, HbbTV, and the like.

Temperature is OK - I use Fancontrol2 and come when the hard drive and thus the fan is not running at 42 ° C, while playing a hard disk and fan at 600-800rpm (inaudible) you go down to 38 ° C (my Dreambox, however, was cool because I have upgraded a big fan).
I have installed a Western Digital red plate (WD40EFRX).

Wife Acceptance Factor (WAF) is good because the VU +, thanks to the very same skin, looks exactly like the Dreambox ie my wife the transition is almost not noticed.

I use the VTi Image (see vuplus-support.org/wiki) and am very satisfied. Did well short Blackhole tried, but after so very early a green screen has occurred, I stayed at the VTi. VTi is very practical and stable and brings among others a simple configuration option for the cams with.

The displays I have not yet configured exactly as I would like - with LCD4Linux you can indeed make a lot, but it falls short in the details. I have therefore begun to edit XML files ...
The quality of the VFD display is a bad joke: Low resolution and it is so milky that one has the impression that there would be a protector over it - that has even criticized my wife who usually does not notice those "details".

The bottom line is I'm happy and I 'a few positive surprises witnessed, such as is usual the Youtube player that looks like the one's from the Smart TV or Bulray player (that does not look like the usual Enigma applications) and moreover, is afloat.
