Oxygen (CD)

Customer Review

It is the foundation stone, the album without that Jean-Michel Jarre perhaps would only occasional lyricist Christopher, the son of composer Maurice Jarre, a little guy playing with his synthesizers without anyone having to cure is oxygen.
Yet Oxygen is not the first aeuvre Jean-Michel Jarre, two other predecessors, including the soundtrack of Jean Chapot Brûlées Granges. But neither Tripette worth, possessed the progressive and electronic operation of synthesizers that, increasingly, can substitute a group, an orchestra as already including Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Mike Oldfield or, more generally, all aeuvrant keyboardists in the progressive rock.
In short, only the commands, it does not need anyone! Jarre found here a "niche" that he is not ready to leave, that of a melodic instrumental and synthetic music that catches the ear with his little simple and effective themes inflated multiple texturing effects giving it a real sonic emphasis. Nothing very original in fact, except for being the first French to in a style that the above already practicing for a few years, but a good job, and undeniably probably already!, A discography summit after which it will only run without ever really catch up.
Founder of the career of an artist become an institution here, Oxygen is an opus that advises fans to theatrical and harmonious synthetic music, it's not so bad already.
