After "the Architect of the trap," Preston & Child lead us into a new treasure hunt: on the trail of Quivira, the legendary city of the Anasazi Indians in Utah. The original title "Thunderhead" was translated by "The Charms of the Lost City" ... Bravo! We can not imagine more stupid ... But we must not stop at this title! In summary, Nora Kelly, an archaeologist finds a letter written here 16 years by her father disappeared during an expedition to Quivira; she mounts a new, funded by the institute which employs him, and actually find the lost city in an American western canyons maze. And that's where the trouble begins ... It is above all an adventure story and a thriller with a bit of fantasy. Obviously, the authors are documented (Preston was editor in chief of the Natural History Museum Publications New York) and have a sacred talented storytellers. A treat for fans of the genre.
