During winter I have tentatively a few bottles of Odin-Trunk ordered, because I also like to drink a Met in winter. When I unpacked it I was initially taken aback, because standing on the bottle of beer mixed drink, but this only means as I found out, that is added to the honey after the brewing process and not mitgebraut - has to do with the German Purity Law. (So do not panic, is real beer and not Alcopop fashion broth) So an expensive beer must of course be drunk from a glass, so you can examine the great color - Dark Amber, I would say. It follows the smell test, mild to beer and slightly sweet, reminiscent of root beer. But now with anticipation to action: The first sip! This has then but a little disappointed me. Somehow not Met, not any beer, though delicious, but still expected more. I drank more and more puzzled if the honey covered up the beer or the other way, even the glass was empty - so tasty it is definitely. The second glass was then much better, I knew what's coming and it could just enjoy the taste without discussing. Conclusion: The beer is really good, tastes slightly of honey, yet is not too sweet, just something different and worth a try. I would say it's not a beer for a cookout or the beer garden, but especially when it's cold outside or after eating it fits really well. A star I pull off because the foam that liquefies very quickly, and because the beer perhaps could be a little stronger, the honey softens it quite from. Although now is a bit fussy, what to be in this relatively high price but also, in my opinion.
