Harry Belafonte sold in the '50s to today with its fantastically soft tenor voice and skillful interpretations of calypso and folk songs more than 100 million albums. In this almost legendary recording of his concert at Carnegie Hall, he shines with skillful interpretations of folk and calypso. A thrilling live atmosphere, a good band and an airy, transparent recording provide fun while listening.
Especially children (as I in 1964) have a lot of fun on this album, which has an amazing long-term value.
Nevertheless, I recommend the double-CD with the recordings of the same concert - with such a great live recording it is a shame to any cuts.
