++ Transmit and receive test I conducted with all appliances that I ordered.
(DeTeWe 8000, Motorola T40 + T80 and my old Audioline PMR 040 which I have already used long.
Upon receiving test all are close together, except the T40 which I have kept beside the DeTeWe. The T40 makes relatively quickly limp.
I was with my wife in two cars on the road and I've picked out beforehand goals through Google Maps. Our town is very small, almost a village, surrounded by agricultural land and adjoining Geiseltalsee.
In areas with mild hills was at 3.2 km circuit with good understanding of the equipment Motorola T80, Audioline PMR 040 and DeTeWe 8000
The set Motorola T40 has made to 1.7km as the crow circuit (field or farmland with crests between). In built-up area with no house in the town 4 floors, the reception is with us until about 400m far absolutely trouble-free (as I said, with us!).
Conclusion:
The Motorola TLKR 40 I keep, it's super small, felt almost 3 times smaller as the T80. The speakers are all clearly and very loudly again. Even outdoors I have about 70% of available volume set. The build quality is really good. Acts as a unified whole. The PPT button is rather large and easy to operate. Not tiny as the DeTeWe 8000 which I also keep. Usage with me: our large land (barn, stable + outbuilding), walks dog, our big house. Everyone must decide for themselves how and for what he procures himself such devices.
If one with a telephone flat rate and a cell phone can pretty well do everything and come to an understanding so that needs no PMR at short distances.
However, I am my smartphone too bad to clean up in work clothes in the house, Leisure, chopping wood, shed and div. Other work to risk it falls out or dirty and breaks down. Our trips for strolling and shopping to Poland and the Czech Republic will benefit because of roaming the four PMR radios.
The DeTeWe 8000 I set to the same frequency as a the two tiny Dauerläufer Motorola TLKR 40. With this combination I stay for about 100 euros flexible in all directions. Whether headsets, functional scope and reach of DeTeWe8000 or disposable PMR T40 in dirty work. Hopefully the T40 survive long.
The Motorola TLKR 80 goes back there in my opinion is not suitable for outdoor use. The device is also too big I think. The Speaker is simply too low. Have more promised for this enormous body size me. Maximum volume like in rooms appear even noisy outside, it is definitely too low. Because I could have kept my old Audioline PMR 40.
Size and weight fall off tremendously. It is the largest device that I have here. Only: the size does not increase the quality of neither reception quality still processing the contrary. The values specified by the manufacturer, I can not check because I do not have the ability to spark between two mountain peaks or hilltops in trouble-free space.
My old Audioline PMR40 go on Ebay soon in auction on time now to quietly reach is just one of those things in PMR
DeTeWe 8000 I keep well. Volume, operation, shape and size, in addition to the accessories supplied simply convincing. The DeTeWe are also the only ones to 1,7km distance in a straight line (Google Maps rangefinder) between two points in the city have allowed communication. The radios are pleasantly small and very light. Good also the key lock again after turning on / off is active. For a child, for example, although the radio on and off, but not change the radio channel. Of course does not help if the part remains OFF
The T40 is worth their money. I would recommend buying 100%. Although the range is not but should be as at 90 devices meet (except in total wilderness). Who more range and reliability needs of the leaves anyway probably stay away from the PMR. Safari in Africa I would not take this T40 rather the DeTeWe 8000th
