Got myself a Fritz! Box 7490 gained to have much faster wireless. I have between the living room and PC site no walls but a corridor. The air connection there should not really be bothered. Nevertheless, the reception in the corner is not very rosy. So I ordered this repeater. Unfortunately, this brought initially no improvement in speed (about 13 real megabytes / s = approx 104 MBit / s). This is less than 1/10 of the promised service. Then I discovered the practical LAN jack at the bottom of repeaters and thus let the wireless signal received by the repeater and forward wired to my PC. So is something like a huge wireless stick :) This brings me to about 50 MB / s (= 400 Mbit / s). Although this is still significantly slower, is promised as a, but I'm quite happy with it. Oh yes, the optical part is really well done
