I have been about 10 years Knopfler fan. That is safe for many a pure nothing, but for me, with my modest 16 When my father back then always shown Sultans of Swing in the Alchemy version, I was impressed limitless. So impressed on how it may be only of firefighters and cars with 6 years, I was there. Mark Knopfler He moved me about 2 years later to even begin playing the guitar. As then September 2000, the board Sailing To Philadelphia came out, I go almost at this. I heard it every day, I loved it. Of course, without knowing what was behind this claim, as it is ingenious Knopfler was actually (I was 7!). And when I started even playing the guitar, I always wanted to be like him. Mark Knopfler has therefore actually accompanied me from my earliest childhood through my whole life and been through so many phases and also affected. His "post-Straits music" was always so calm and beautiful, but at no point undemanding or boring therefore. And although I have now discovered other musicians who influence me and I adore, Knopfler is for me still one of the greats. An insane guitarist, and especially a very often underestimated genius who helped me with his boundless humility, his hidden genius in every note and especially its wonderful music by some difficult periods of my oh-so-short life. And for that I can thank him not at all enough. Besides the fact that the music on Sailing To Philadelphia is just beautiful, the album for me thus also forms a very great personal value. I hang on his strings and wait eagerly for each of his publications, and in spite of that, even after Sailing To Philadelphia each of his albums was wonderful, this stands out here for me out still, and will probably always will. I know exactly I will love this album even in 30 and in 60 years, when Knopfler already hovering in the sky of deities, and even then it will be one of the albums for me, who have the greatest personal value for me and me accompanied by my entire life. Thanks Mark, for everything.
