That does it all!

The Bauknecht replaced me an NN GD368M of Panasonic, which I had bought at the time after a long search and with whom I was very pleased. The Panasonic had microwave and grill, both with automatic weight and a crisp plate, with which one could crunchy foods, such as pizza cook. The Bauknecht also offers a convection oven (in the otherwise good manual with "manual fan" and "Automatic fan" is described) and a Steam Cooking function. In addition, the automatic weight here actually works automatically: The unit automatically determines the weight of food and fit the selected program accordingly. Great thing, and works just fine!

1 .: externals
The 80 MW SL is already a heavy, large chunks! At first glance and on the product photos you can see her at no. But the device has a tremendous depth of 54.8 cm; for a suitable site must be found first!
Otherwise, Bauknecht is a real eye-catcher! The design is really very noble, including the functional and chic display contributes.

2 .: Control
The instructions I really like. Interestingly, stands on the front page the word "Instructions" in 20 languages, but included only the German text. The service opens up a short time itself. First you press the (sensor) to the desired function key, then choose between weight and manual setting. In the case of automatic weight one chooses now not the appropriate program. If you have not the manual at hand, this will help icons that are located behind the door. With manual tuning, you can still adjust wattage / temperature and of course the time. All very intuitive via the large rotary control with the OK button in the middle. On opening the door of the oven is lit, which I find very convenient. In operation, however, the Bauknecht course makes the usual noise of a microwave, here in a tolerable volume.
The power cable is extremely short! For me, the outlet is next to the device. Where this is not the case, you need an extension cord. Incomprehensible why Bauknecht saves in this detail.

3 .: preparation and enjoyment
We've already played through most of the functions. I am particularly impressed by the automatic weight that works very reliably in fact (after a single calibration of the balance). Today for example there was fried fish, with the Crisp function, plus steamed potatoes, both cooked in automatic mode. The fried fish was browned nicely, perhaps not quite as crisp as in the pan, but without adding fat and in the shortest time. The potatoes were very tasty and were cooked to perfection, after just nine minutes. However, one must consider the recommendation of the instructions and let the potatoes be after switching off the device even one or two minutes in the closed steam cooking tray. In principle, the steam cooking is that you fill a glass of water and the food to be cooked into a supplied plastic container. The water is then brought to a boil by means of microwaves. Works very well.
The programs asks a signal and an indication on the display, if necessary, at the appropriate time to stir or turn the food on. This too is very user-friendly.
The actual microwave function also works very reliably. Even at low power, the food is heated uniformly, which is not the case for any microwave. The turntable can be switched off. Here, however, the automatic weight works only conventional, which means you have to enter the weight of the food. This is probably because that the device can not know how much the microwave dishes each weigh not. This should have been able to solve but a tare function well.
The convection oven is a nice little bonus, but he is not in terms of performance with large convection ovens. This can be seen especially on the very long preheating phase, which may be before 40 minutes at 200 °. Is this only once over, you can then bake as in any other oven also.

4 .: Cleaning and Maintenance
Another advantage of the device! A special coating of the interior can be easily cleaned this. Previously presented a slightly damp microfibre cloth to get everything clean again. There are no inaccessible places that can not be achieved with the cloth; inside everything is very flat and smooth. Grill and glass plate to clean in the dishwasher, the Crisp-plate is, however, coated and must get in there in any case!

Overall, I am impressed by the device. It combines the most important functions of a small kitchen in one unit. Convinced the automatic weight and also recirculation, I am pleased, despite the low performance. So I now have a second oven as a supplement to my big stove.
The current price of 237 euros seems ridiculously low given the necessary functionality. Me really angry only very short cables, but given the price everything would unjustifiably less than 5 stars.
