With four of the eight quadrants a Schedule is built. The hexfeldartige honeycomb pattern of these quadrants with the different landscapes reminiscent of Settlers of Catan. Settlements are placed on these hexes per turn three. Analogous to settlers this happens mittles resource cards. Of these, one has however only one of these and not erwürfelt one also but bring them blind from a stack. Be built must always on the corresponding landscape and whenever possible adjacent to existing settlements. The game is over when a player has built all its 40 settlements. Three so-called Kingdom Builder cards are drawn from a shuffled deck before the game begins. These include building regulations, for which there are special points. So, for example, says the fisherman, that at the end gets an extra point for each settlement on the water. As another element of the game, there are action tiles. So special fields on the Schedule printed (a haven, a Celtic place of worship, etc.) Who grows on these fields get a tile with any special action. This may be carried out at each round again. Specials include the setting of an additional settlement or the relocation of an existing settlement.
Reads everything pretty simple, right? Is it so far also. Here could be discovered (so far) no strategic depth. It builds its adjacent settlements and see how this snake on the plan. The Kingdom Builder cards give true orientation points as you should build in order to get more points in the game for two to read this but because of the large space available on the board effortlessly implement. Everything about this game mechanism appears far inconsequential. That a simple set of rules does not necessarily mean equal irrelevance, proved last year's winner Qwirkle. This game is again much easier with regard to the rules but at least twice as demanding as Kingdom Builder. Only the material of the game is the award requirements. Wood instead of plastic and beautifully drawn landscapes and maps. But I will continue to test it and, if appropriate, revise the review, should not the great tactics appear. So far, this leaves me a bit perplexed but winners back - especially at the price.

Edit 13.7.2012
We are here now with several rounds and the impression did not improve. On The Contrary. Initially it was hoped that only one "unfortunate" structure of the board and an unfavorable mix of Kingdom Builder cards were cause of Drögen gameplay. But the does not seem that way. Couple the game ripples rather inconsequential to himself. On the negative side auffalend that some action tiles bring unfair advantages. Such a settlement may each be additionally built in the possession of the farm and the tower. In one game, this resulted in a situation where one player per round could build five settlements, the other only the regular three. Having to build adjacent paths usually consisted not the chance to come into the possession of this action tiles for him. As a player, the game ended (because he had all 40 buildings built) had the other still around ten obvious. Had won in the end anyway, the other player was pure coincidence, as one blind pulls the raw material cards and therefore has almost no effect, because above everything is the rule, having to adjacent building. So I would even go down rather with an initial rating yet. I am so far inexplicable how could attain the highest German predicate this game. I am glad that it was excellent wrong at the local store and I was so much to buy it under the (here) the regular rates.
