NiMH cells with particularly low Selbstendladung for 10 years already cause Remedy. Selbige are currently produced from three different companies: the Panasonic subsidiary SANYO (Eneloop), Gold Peak Group (GP ReCyko) and GS Yuasa. Even when Ansmann (made in China) is not clear which of the four manufacturers actually behind it.
Since Eneloop nothing comparable offers, this E-block of Ansmann should represent the maximum of what is currently available at 9V replacement on the market.
- The remaining capacity out of the box was, after all, about 220mAh;
- For the loading capacity was at the initial filling stately 430mAh, the second full charging cycle, the E-block was slightly more effective already with 390mAh satisfied. As a 9V block usually consists of six AAAA cells, most chargers treat this type of battery with kid gloves, and a charge lasts many hours. In other words, each mA, which is not to be meaningless pumped into the battery significantly saving, loading time.
- After complete charging cycle the battery pack was after all her stately 290mAh, slightly less than the lurid 300mAh, but more than the promised minimum capacity, which is only visible in the small print, indicated with 270mAh.
By comparison, E-block of the first generation came with less than 100 mAh on the market, a long time ago ...
Conclusion: Low self-discharge and high capacity to convince, although the colorful label on pack something promises too much. As long as Panasonic does not follow suit with Eneloop it will be difficult to find an alternative for this type of battery.
