Heaven Burn Hall have found the answer and it is ICONOCLAST. The band also presented in the previous releases always attached great importance to the textual claim the music, with ICONOCLAST but this is taken to extremes. It is a pure concept album about the warrior caste of the Iconoclast. This content approach is woven into the songs with social / political issues of our day, so far from any Prollo slogans issues such as resistance during the Nazi period, monitoring state and capitalism are treated.
The actual lyrics come numerous paintings and texts (eg of Friedrich Nietzsche), which can be found as a bonus on the CD, or in the booklet and explain the concept of the album or individual songs on ... Along with the really successful Artwork and BonusDVD which includes a recording of the complete Wacken-2007 gigs, you can really "value for money" talking about how it is offered only by a few bands.
But now the music:
To judge each song would certainly go beyond the scope of this review, particularly since the album really is surprisingly diverse. All in all you get of course again the good, old HSB-board supplied, which you already know of brilliant songs like "Behind the Wall of Silence", "The Weapon They Fear" or "counterweight". HSB set off their personal development but consistently continue and be so in my opinion, flashed only in some moshparts' Core' elements. Otherwise, this is probably to denote offered as groovy melodic death metal. Stylistic overlaps are more with bands like Arch Enemy (a dying ember), Amon Amarth (Joel) or Dark Tranquillity (the disease) observed. Wonderful is also the managed Edge Of Sanity Cover "Black Tears".
And as well as the just mentioned bands it also creates Heaven Burn Hall in their songs to combine uncompromising hardness with a subtle catchiness. Even by the great melodies of the lead guitar nearly every chorus is catchy after a few Hördurchgängen for.
Nevertheless, the album wears off not fast. Even after numerous Hördurchläufen you can still find new details, rhythmic finesse and melody lines, so you really want to start directly from new album.
Gratifying that there are still bands, grasp the albums as a total work of art and underline effectively with a really well thought out and perfectly vice put content and design concept to claim their music.
Heaven Burn Hall succeeds at Iconoclast the balancing act between a coherent whole and songs that can convince on its own, seemingly playing.
Anyone who not only sees in music mere entertainment and the harder varieties of metal (or also the Hardcore) is not entirely averse to be highly placed this album in his heart.
