The Ace 3 does everything right!

have the Ace 3 for some time now in possession and am satisfied.
Here is simply right the value for money.

My requirements were:
4 inches max. 4.3
Good camera + flash and front camera
At least 233ppi
Large internal memory (8GB) + SD Slot
Operation buttons with clean defined pressure points + Home Button

Design / Processing: The unit works with value and is very well made. So far, nothing creaks. All pressure points of the buttons are optimal and give accurate feedback when pressed. Important for me was the hardware Home button to quickly take screenshots (Home + Power). Display is centrally mounted and parallel. The charging socket and the plug is secure. The headphone jack holds the 3.5mm plug also securely in place. The glossy back cover is predestined for fingerprints, yet the unit is comfortable to hold and can be operated with one hand easily. The back cover is easy, almost too easy, but loosen sitting still safe and without gaps on the housing.

Performance: system is stable and liquid. The power freak it like here and there go too slow (the opening of the gallery needed a pause for thought), but considering the price it is acceptable. Games I have not installed, so all I can not comment. Presumably the default applications (Mega Jump) will run without problems. Graphics-intensive applications could there be overkill.

Display / Touch Panel: 4 inches are an ideal compromise between device size, operation and display size, it does not want to drag each one tablet around with you yes. The display megalomania can I nothing positive from.
The sharpness and the 233 PPI ensure good representation even at small font (even better would be perhaps 540 x 960 at 4 inch, 275ppi). Good thing there is also a normal LCD and not AMOLED panel, which comes hand in hand with the typical blur or Ausfranzeffekte. The tap itself goes smoothly. Inputs are correctly identified. Furthermore, the fingers slide when wiping very well. The touch panel controlled 5-finger multi-touch, ideal to simultaneously zoom in Maps and rotate the display. Especially with low-cost carriers (Huawei Y300 etc.) occur here jitter effects which makes a specific input. The aforementioned yellow stitches I can not see. The color representation and brightness are good. Comparisons with a Retina display would not be entirely fair. The only thing I noticed, but I'm not disturbing, is the visible structure of the touch panel. When you hold the device up to the light you can see parallel strips along the display. I do not know what that is exactly, it does not bother me too.

Sensors / Speaker: The GPS sensor works well, takes place in a living room after a few seconds a GPS fix. The quality of the speakers is acceptable, due to design any sound miracles are expected. Nevertheless, the sound is reasonably powerful and achieved good volume. Who likes can make further adjustments by Equalizer.

Telephony / receiving mobile / WLAN: The call quality is good, would in noisy environments might still an active noise cancellation have been helpful. To receive: All clear. I live in an area poorly served because each phone has a hard time. I would classify the reception compared to older devices (Desire S) a little better. LTE was not a must-have for me. Dear Samsung had waived LTE and is investing in other places a little more. LTE without appropriate contractual or data option is anyway useless or unusable.

Cameras: Here, too, a solid performance (except for the front camera). The menu offers a variety of settings such as scene selection, flash, etc. The image quality depends primarily on the ambient light and the operator. A steady hand, even better hands, contribute significantly to the good image. In daylight, good shots are achieved indoors or in low light makes then the price range noticeable. In a pinch, you can still make the flash LED for damage control. The front camera is rather below average with 640x480, a star would be deducted so exaggerated. For any video calls to use quite.

Memory: 8GB should be for the average Joe more than enough. Currently I have to install various apps still about 4.1 GB free. Navigation software (cards) can be installed on the insertable SD card. The program data remain internal. A bit annoying is the fact that there are 3 locations. Intern (for Android Apps +) Internal data (if no SD provided) and Ext SD as removable storage. When Setting up an FTP access you have therefore only a little looking to the correct location you can specify. The location of the camera can be placed on the SD card, this should be kept in mind, otherwise the 4GB device memory are consumed quickly. When you install MapFactor (GratisNaviSoftware) I was asked if the card to be written to the SD Ext. very good.

Battery: As with most smartphones is expected heavy use is only 1 day mileage. With appropriate restraint with mobile data usage of apps, music or videos and two days can be in it.

Conclusion: The Galaxy Ace 3 makes things right and affords only minor weaknesses. There is still room for improvement (Ace 4: D) but what is happening in considering the amount of fine. For almost 200 euros one makes nothing wrong.
