Customer Review

François Roth is a Lorraine historian whose album "War 70" is masterfully reference on the subject.

One would think that this new work would be in the same vein as its predecessors. Unfortunately, this book
Too many historical errors betraying probably when precipitation to the editor. I would even say of amateurism
if it was not a question of François Roth. For example (I do not quote all, fortunately):

- The maps include Alsace-Moselle in France (a shame in a Lorraine historian!)
- Confusion between Erwin Rommel (the Desert Fox) and his son Manfred (future mayor of Stuttgart)
- Confusion between the Scharnhorst and the Gneisenau (ships of the Second World War) and the Goeben and the Breslau
- Farman aircraft were renamed the Farmer ...

This is unfortunate because François Roth has also demonstrated its professionalism.
