"Waking the Fallen" is a dark and loud music. The band can here contribute their entire musical force and thus shows the listener what you can get pick up everything from the instruments. I have previously not really understand what it means when a piece of music is percussion-heavy. Since "Waking the Fallen" I can understand this completely. The drummer The Rev (unfortunately now deceased) is a skill on drums unparalleled. Even me as Musiklaie noticed how well he masters his instrument and how passionate he is about this. However, other instruments are not less important. A great combination of the band.
Even the lead singer M. Shadows proves with this album his singing talent royal. I barely heard a singer who can change the way he perfectly between growling and singing voice. Surprised and positively impressed me the crass but dropout difference. When you hear him growl, you can not believe that he has a clear and melodious voice in the next breath.
Overall it can be said that A7X a tough and powerful package to deliver here that can convince and shows how good metal sounds.
The t-shirt contained in the bundle will be delivered in the men's size L and thus does not fit me as a woman. But this is not so tragic, because I see the shirt as an additive and not as a main selling point. The imprint of the band logo is very well done. Only the quality of the substance leaves something to be desired because it is very thin and fine. I have a fear that it will not be of long life. Even a warming effect has therefore not, but one gets warm while headbanging and dancing by itself.
Conclusion:
a great album a very good metal band. You can already see with this album, where once the musical journey will go and I'm happy as a passenger there. A strong buy recommendation.
