Vorliegendes album from the late phase of the legendary RAMONES is the first, where the ingenious Dee Dee Ramone is no longer an official Bandmitgleid here. However, Dee Dee hattte yet left his band some gems that these shots in an outstanding manner to this album.
The final layer of this album is probably indisputable "Poison Heart"; one of the best rock songs ever, and one probably. the best song of the band. Dee Dee has left an impressive monument of his compositional genius, a few years before he died.
Of course, the opener "Censorshit" is strongly reminiscent of the great idols of the Ramones, the "Rolling Stones", albeit with typical Ramones- elements. However, if this band knows well, will find this song not particularly big favor more, the but still punchy and dynamic, if one probably. also no longer particularly innovative to come off. Nevertheless great song.
"The job did ate my brain" is a typical seasoned Ramones- rock song in typical Joey- style. One probably. a variation on already known older Ramones- pieces.
"Anxiety" acts again fairly routine; with a new note after all.
"Strength to Endure" is another one of those loud, fast Kracher
"It's gonna be all right" is a lively, fast rock and roll piece; seems somehow but again fairly routine.
"Take It As It Comes" is a piece of the original DOORS. The Ramones prove with this organ embossed piece of this important band the honor, and play it in their own way I am myself DOORS fan. but so innovative I do not find the Ramones- version here.
"Main Man" is another one of those typical Ramones- hardrockers that time.
"Tomorrow she goes away": again very experienced;
"I will not let it happen": somehow also again quite routine; albeit again with a new track;
"Cabbies on Crack": simply gorgeous lift with Joey's voice in the chorus;: for me one of the best songs on this album
"Heidi is a head case": with a similar title things have already given tens of songs in the Ramones; the "running joke" among the albums ("Sheena is a Punk Rocker", etc.); Again, somehow again proven recipe routinely downplayed; if Joey attaches to the chorus, he creates with his voice what others create together only in the choir; but a real highlight ?; Well, I do not know;
"Touring" is the last song on the album but einfallsloseste; Bonds of old Beach Boys- Rock and scooters, as well as older Ramones- material, once again a mess (especially "Rock and Roll High School").

The album is consistently played punchy, fast punk rock songs, mostly with strong classic rock and roll elements. Almost all songs contribute greatly the handwriting of the remaining of the two greatest songwriters of the Ramones, Joey. Hervorstechen do here especially Joey's unforgettable voice and the powerful drumming.
The album looks very established overall. Who the older albums the band knows, he will be reminded tape constantly in these songs to older material. Thus, the band plays their boots on, is their sound continues with this album; but not without again add new items here. Also, the band, who owes the rock and roll so much, still fully at the height of its time (1992); who grew up in that time (like me) will feel amazed in his youth gone back, even if he did not know at the time this album (like me). So many times one feels reminiscent of songs by other bands of the time, although at that time did not know these songs; and one wonders: were only the Ramones with these songs, or the (known) songs of other bands (I'm there yet come to nothing); to have but at least to seem successful bands of that time served partially in this band (one example Note the similarity of "It's gonna be all right" to about the same time very popular song "Two Princes" by the "spin doctors"!).
The punk rock songs here are continuous hard rock; faster Rock and Roll, and in their style very typical of its time. So if you want to know what was heard at that time at this time in hard rock area so, can hereby set about the picture.
you're probably. a bit surprised with what for those days radio-friendly, pop-oriented songs you have to do it here. So you take Zeitgeist with a trace original Ramones, mainly determined by Joey's inimitable voice and a lot of percussion; already seems to be here a Ideal- concept to have found. Even more surprised you then but when one learns that even this album is not the giant has been commercial breakthrough of the band of the rock music has so much to be grateful.
If you like the Ramones, is also like this album. And it's actually not the worst of the band. It fits very well in this period. One probably. but lacking a bit but the slower ballads, where Joey and his voice can also give so much depth.
And most of the songs here have a certain similarity; It lacks a bit of variety.
Through the powerful drumming and Joey's intense voice and the instrumental and yet technically very simple knitted songs one notices the strong "Live" - alignment of the band: one would have with these songs also like a live album to play; and it would have been otherwise consulted.
The songs but act quite smooth and routine. Besides "Poison Heart" no particular depth. The songs live almost all alone Joeys (but really ingenious) voice, and have probably mostly composed by him. At least most of the songs you want to attach to but still certain individuality, although sometimes the similarity to other songs is striking.
The songs here vermtteln usually a more classical rock and roll feeling, as it is known with many songs of the early days of the band. They are fairly easy knit, but good. Herausstechend doing here in many ways especially "Poison Heart", probably the best song of the band. Otherwise, here conveys rock and roll in a good mood.
Technically, however, it has done everything right in this plate: Joey's voice always comes good effect, the punchy drums do the rest The shots are good (a compliment to engineers, producers, etc.)..
Nevertheless, the Ramones were still full at the height of their time; even strong references to the great rock band that time, "Nirvana", are here clearly (again raises the question: "Who of whom?").
The disk is a product of an experienced, self-confident band; very professional. After the departure of the brilliant Dee Dee shows up here again, especially Joey's brilliant songwriting. The tape shows that it has completed it, and plays their thing, knowing what could arrive at the audience.
Weakness and this CD is once again the text. The act but usually very interchangeable, and no really significant statement. This fits in turn to the often very smooth action shots. Namely to provide good mood is very beautiful; but you miss again a bit the draft. Unfortunately, that was so common in all the rock bands and songs this time.
Slightly affects the whole thing too much as a product of its time; whether the disc would thus be the right thing for today's kids, is questionable. It is still listenable.

CONCLUSION: No rock music history without the Ramones!
As a real fan you will love RAMONES- this disc. One probably. is never so clearly the importance of Joey's vocals have been recognizable as on this album. Also, almost all the songs of the disc - with a few exceptions - still good; herausstechend course "Poison Heart".
For me, yet not the best disc of the band. There are better from the early phase of the band; and also the ingenious "Too Tough to die" from the 80s has set milestones in rock music.
But the band has made with this disc impressively demonstrated that it was still full at the height of their time, and can keep up fully with all the others, even younger rock bands, and could continue to set the tone. The lack of big commercial success, the band has not particularly irritated (he only surprise the listener); To do had become too self-confident.
Even with this record gave the Ramones to rock music fans again an alternative to the current zeitgeist; albeit here (formative and this continues!) with significant debt to this.
