Grisham is, as I said, a gifted storyteller. It's just fun to accompany Malcolm Bannister on his way to his new life step by step. The first glass of beer in the freedom (and the envy of his accompanying FBI agents who need to stay with soft drinks), the cozy apartment in Neptune Beach, the first moments on the beach, a trip to the Caribbean ... - these passages can you just enjoy. Although the plot seems especially in the last third here and there a little constructed me the book has completely cast a spell. What more could you want from a thriller?
