There have been many books about the infiltration of "outlaws" clubs in the US. I probably read them all or almost English. But of all, the one that stands out (by far) is that of Jay Dobyns. I have not read the French version (only the US version), but I found this particularly alive and well written book. Jay "Jaybird" Dobyns dives into the world of the Hells Angels to infiltrate, but realizes they are ultimately far more human than he thought at first. Infiltration is certainly dangerous (he risks his life if found), but the Hells became his closest friends. He realizes that he has in fact become a biker, closer to those he infiltrates his fellow officers, which is feels increasingly disconnected.
