This is the CD with the best Christmas songs of Frank Sinatra. Highlights include the songs of two LPs that are not available separately on CD are unfortunately (!); one with Bing Crosby and Fred Warring, whose name was different "The Sinatra Family Christmas". Rousing and atmospheric are the joint recordings with Bing Crosby, the Christmas singers no. 1: "We Wish You The merriest" and "Go Tell It On The Mountain". Bing and Frank together are simply unbeatable. (Who does not like recalls films like "High Society", in which the two have combined!) Also distinctive are the songs that sings Frank together with his family: A new version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas", "The Bells Of Christmas" and the very humorous "I Would not Trade Christmas", which one can only agree (Christmas is the most beautiful of all parties, we would exchange for no other holiday). Festive Christmas mood guarantee Christmas classics like "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" (known by Judy Garland's film "Meet Me in St. Louis") and "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day". Finally, some countries bittersweet, melancholy songs on the CD, which embody the typical Sinatra-style (in the way the album "September of my years"): "Whatever Happened to Christmas", the very personal "A Baby Just Like You" and the wonderful, moving "Christmas Memories". The sound quality is very good, and the accompanying information are interesting. I can recommend the full CD. Few singers can generate real Christmas spirit, Bing Crosby, of course, or Doris Day. And it is also Frank Sinatra.
