The best smartphone currently on the market

As an avowed Apple and thus iPhone fan you are spoiled by high equipment, usability and design course. Also like hochgebauschte as "Antennagate" problem with the reception power could not change anything in the very well-developed network of D1 as in Germany.

Fortunately for me, I was this time in the luxury situation that my contract expired at the right time and I had with iPhone 4 and Galaxy S is 2 brand new mobile phones to choose from.

My choice fell ultimately to the Galaxy.

Why?

First of all, be said that there is nothing that the iPhone 4 can, the Galaxy S but not (more than the other way around :-). The processor is swift as an arrow (for all the complaints about Lags, I can download the free app Advanced Task Killer recommend), with WLAN N standard is to surf rapidly, as well as Bluetooth 3.0 data geschauffelt.

After the presentation of the Retina Display I thought that nothing on iPhone passes, but the screen from the Galaxy is sensational. Unlike many reports I would not go so far as to call him a better, but he's at least as good.

Android as OS has become so mature that even here there is no disadvantage compared to iOS and soon 2.2 Available (according to Samsung will be the middle of September the case), the rate is for example strong RAMs again rise significantly thanks to full utilization of 512MB. Each object is achieved intuitively and at the manual I had previously only once look (which is the pure micro SDHC card). The AppStore is filled diligently and even here there's now an app for almost everything (very often free).

What I have not read all the downside of the device is the case, since only plastic and easy ... whether people make weights to the bike because of the carbon frame is too light?

I think the weight peak. Even the 3GS, in contrast, a log and easily I feel as good as I can put it in your shirt pocket without restricting the same to have hanging on your knees.

The housing sits, fits, shaking and no creaks and does not a cheap impression.

The camera quality is also top on the day, at night mobile cameras are always only suitable in my opinion, flash or not. Even movies with 720p is a dream. Even my filmed at night fireworks shows surprising results.

I could go on forever praise because I am simply thrilled with the part. I would once stray from the iPhone, shocks me a bit, but power must be rewarded and this has Samsung provided here with flying colors.

Effective immediately, the Samsung Galaxy belongs to the illustrious ranks of phones which with Froyo (Android 2.2) to run. The update can be directly on the Samsung KIES own software related and it is easily possible to install really.

After successful installation, the device runs already fleet anyway again a bit faster and in addition to some nice new features, you can finally play flash videos, thus watch on YouTube and Co. without additional Apps anything you want.

A really great update. Now it should not be long until the equipment from the factory take with Froyo.

Over gravel can now without any registry hack pulled the official FROYO update (JPP / JPA / JP4)

The whole feels a bit snappier than the JP6 / JPM / JP4 combo. The bug when copying the contacts is gone.

And the new gravel tip. Device is recognized immediately and the same when connected me Firmware Upgrade and backup was offered. The latter has proved to be unnecessary because even after the update all data and apps were there. Only the homescreen I have to reorder.

All the opinion were, Samsung would be to release the Froyo updates no more trouble more, has deceived mightily. Instead, we actually seem to see that with the Samsung Nexus S is expanding its Galaxy almost identical to official Google Phone, the first effects of the fact!
Already a few weeks ago a new firmware leakte named I9000XXJPU which Froyo brought in version 2.2.1. The opinions were all euphoric, as the fastest firmware for the Galaxy posted this constitutes yet.

Now it's finally here, the official 2.2.1 for Galaxy S's!

The ROM listens to the name I9000XXJPX and brings all already known from leaked JPU Benefits:
* Froyo 2.2.1
* 339 MB RAM available
* New menu item system updates are what be possible in future OTA updates
* Significantly faster system and thus now no longer necessary Lagfixes

Officially, the firmware is (again) only available in Scandinavia. But here in Germany you can again have a registry hack update already. This is now even easier than before, as there is a tool called Registry Patch v.1.7.0.0 KIES, which makes the whole procedure very easy.

Or just a few more days to wait until you look at it in Germany without further manipulation gets.

Have it now for half a day on it and I would not have believed that there could be better, but Samsung has managed. The mobile phone is faster than ever and now we can, I believe satisfied the Gingerbread update waiting. Many Thanks.

With the JPY (2.2.1) version, SGS has become probably the most robust and fastest firmware of all time. At the MWC in Barcelona, ​​Samsung has finally announced what since the Nexus S Release as a new developer phone actually has only been rumored known and clear to everyone: It continues with updates and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) firmware is already in internal test. It is expected by the end of the first, no later than the beginning of the second quarter. We can assume that it will be leaked much earlier through the usual channels (SAMSWIRMWARE.COM).

And once again punishes Samsung all those who consider the SGS after the release of the S2 or after the release of 2.2.1 in February as discarded lies. Since today an update to GINGERBREAD in version 2.3.3 is available via KIES.
Of course, after updating to 2.2.1, which brought a huge boost performance technically, no longer to be expected with a similar quantum leap. Nevertheless, the new firmware feels very good, the scrolling is subjective again a kick smoother, the appearance of the pulldown menu on the home screen in black is just great and the best comes in the form of a much improved copy and paste functionality.
Overall, again a successful update and also more than 1 year after the release SGS remain our device uptodate.
Who now again, "that's it but then" was on their lips, let me tell you that 2.3.4 has already been announced in work and in mid to late July. And TouchWiz 4 should be submitted as a separate rumored update.
It will be exciting.

Who would have thought? Two years and two subsequent generations have come and gone since the appearance of SGS1 but Samsung maintains our favorite still eingermaßen to date. It is already quite clear early on that we would not come into the enjoyment of ICS, but it promised to deliver a so-called Value Pack which comes with some new features. Now the I9000XWJW6 has appeared named update and it actually brings with TouchWiz 4, an expanded memory, unlocking by facial recognition, known from SGS2 Photo Editor and overall better performance than you would have thought on the I9000 possible. Since this is now but really should be the last update, you should one last time KIES to come (or ODIN) fire up in order to enjoy a really good software update.
