Since I knew nothing about this novel, I did not know at all what to expect and the surprise was great. The plot is Machiavellian, like a set of dominoes that would collapse one after the other, each time causing terrible consequences. The suspense is omnipresent, impossible to guess in advance where the author wants to take us. It is perfectly orchestrated, the twists and taking us over the many suspects. As far as the investigation progresses, we realize that the matter is vast, it goes well beyond the investigation of some killings. I will not say anything that would reveal the frame itself, just know that conspiracy and manipulations of the game.
The style of David Rosenfelt is bright and punchy, narrative punctuated by dialogues which are numerous. The pages turn by themselves, you can not ask this novel even a minute without wondering what he going to happen next! Besides, I started in the morning and finished it late at night ... It is to say! When I read a thriller, I like when the plot progresses quickly without engoncer us in long useless or boring passages rather than going straight to the point. So if you're like me, you immediately take on this unknown novel worth a visit!
