I read for the first time this novel in French and was not packed. A few years later, I read it in English this time (and while I was living in London where part of the story takes place) and there ... I was shocked by this novel, which is the more beautiful than I have ever read about love of music. Writing is very sober, stripped, yet transcribed thousand emotions, sorrow to joy, passion lightness. Since I no longer live in London ... but I discovered Bach, cello and started rereading "one equal music", in part or in full, regularly. Thank you Mr Seth.
