The CD version ...

is the only version that I have worried me. That with the "multi-product" of Manowar, which one knows already been, who finds himself compelled several times to access, which deserves to be better (and probably deserved better ;-)

But now to the point: how is the new? (CD)

Conclusion anticipate, I find it great! The sound is, as described often, bassy. The bass sound itself (distorted) not does not bother me personally, that it was mixed very prominent. This is primarily because the sound was not totkomprimiert in production, no Loudness War, the level of bass, guitar, drums, singer and accessories must complement each other and do not have to fight for the frequencies. The CD is a total mixed rather quiet (compared to other recent productions, such as Ten, Magnum). What with me has the effect that I like fatigue by listening the plate again and again. Who will listen to the discography of Manowar incidentally notice that you have enjoyed driving time a "of deviant" sound.

The fact that I like to listen to over and over again by the panel, it of course also has the Mucke their share. What the first run as "average (mano) ware" sounds, actually remains after the third pass often powerful stick in the memory and the longer pieces (up to blacklist) not boring. Sometimes the back catalog by sounds very strong, real experiments they dare this time (except for the sound) not (shame really, the "Christmas plate" with Nessun Dorma is a real sweetie ...). But, even if they revolve quasi compositionally on Lord of Steel to themselves, they do not sound intentionally, but skillfully, not forced, but somehow arrived at himself. And that has charm.

That the lyrics come over long distances from the Manowar Blood Metal Steel modular, background choirs from the can come (is yet again in the St. Paul's Cathedral boys ... The Crown and the Ring anyone?) And Eric Adams the Hochtonlagen verkneift largely (but everywhere else shines), are cutting back, the half a star deduction worth are me. The Cover? Yes mei, you'd now not have to wait as long as it ;-) but in CD / MP3 era is the eh no "selling point" more.

It's funny, the one criticizing the new (sound), the other that changes nothing essential ... -> Tip of the former: People, let them play around it, but even certain beings (or Joey-specific ... ahem ...). -> Tip of the latter: People Manowar not Dream Theater and AC / DC are still complains about missing but hardly an innovation, on gut instinct comes to light.
